Uploadis a science fictioncomedy-drama series created by Greg Daniels. The series centers around 2033 when humans can “upload” themselves into a virtual afterlife of their choosing, only if they can afford it. Robbie Amell stars as Nathan Brown, a computer programmer who dies prematurely from a self-driving car crash.
Nathan is uploaded to a very expensive virtual afterlife called Lakeview where he finds himself being controlled by his living possessive girlfriend, Ingrid Kannerman. As Nathan attempts to adjust to his afterlife in the digital heaven, he bonds with his living customer service guardian angel, Nora Antony. Nathan has damaged memories after being uploaded and Nora begins to suspect that his missing memories may lead to a greater conspiracy.
Uploadpremiered on Prime Video, with Season 1 consisting of ten episodes and Season 2 having seven episodes. The series has been renewed for a third season and is set to premiere on August 23, 2025, with eight episodes.

Robbie Amellstars as Nathan Brown, a 27-year-old computer engineering graduate who dies prematurely. Before his death, Nathan was working on an app with his business partner and long-time friend, Jamie. The duo was attempting to create their own virtual afterlife that would be free for the user.
Nathan was also dating Ingrid and had strong relationships with his mother and his niece before his death. After Nathan is uploaded, Ingrid is in full control of whether he lives in the digital realm since he was uploaded into her account. Things become more complicated for Nathan after he begins to develop feelings for Nora.

Andy Alloportrays Nora Antony, who is a customer serviceguardian angeland helps people transition into the afterlife. Nora is a customer service representative who can even help people walk on water, with just a hit of a button. Nora is assigned to be the angel for Nathan and expects him to be the typical L.A. party boy.

Allegra Edwardsstars as Ingrid Kannerman, Nathan’s self-involved, materialistic, and possessive living girlfriend. Ingrid is a wealthy socialite who is determined to be with Nathan for eternity and takes on the financial responsibility for Nathan’s afterlife at Lakeview.
Since Nathan was so young when he died, he had not planned his afterlife yet and is uploaded into Ingrid’s account instead. For Ingrid and Nathan’s relationship to continue into the digital afterlife, Ingrid has to go through the additional effort of renting VR equipment to meet up with Nathan. Later, Ingrid fakes her suicide to manipulate Nathan in the afterlife.

Kevin Bigley as Luke Crossley
Kevin Bigleyplays Luke Crossley, who befriends Nathan and is also a carefree resident of Lakeview. Before Luke’s death, he was a veteran of the Iran war who lost his legs. Being stuck in a wheelchair for five years prompted Luke to decide to be uploaded early at Lakeview.
In Lakeview, Luke begins dating Mildred who is Ingrid’s 100-year-old grandmother and whose avatar was based on an old black-and-white photograph. In Season 2, Nathan and Luke tour New York City and Luke cries while hugging Nathan as the two say their goodbyes.

Zainab Johnson as Aleesha Morrison
Zainab Johnsonportrays Aleesha Morrison, Nora’s coworker at Horizon, and Luke’s customer service angel. Aleesha has a playful and comical relationship with Luke. Meanwhile, Nora and Aleesha’s friendship grows showing how much Aleesha has Nora’s back.

Owen Danielsstars as the A.I. Guy for Lakeview. The A.I. Guy fulfills the most menial jobs such as cooking, cleaning, waiting on tables, and opening doors all while wearing a smile on his face. A.I. Guy is a virtual employee who can appear in many places at once and is always offering help wherever he can. In Season 2, the A.I. Guy for Horizon is introduced as Boris Netherlands, who is the real person behind the face of the A.I. Guy.

Andrea Rosen as Lucy Slack
Andrea Rosenportrays Lucy Slack, Nora and Aleesha’sdomineering boss at Horizon. Lucy ends up suspending Nora from Horizon and using Nora’s avatar to discover Nathan’s true feelings for Nora.
In Season 2, Lucy offers Aleesha a promotion and shows her what her life could be like with a luxury apartment and a six-figure salary. Lucy also tells Aleesha to power down Luke, forcing him to sleep, when she discovers the dreams that Luke is having.

William B. Davis as David Choak
William B. Davisstars as David Choak,a billionaire who livesacross from Nathan in Lakeview and teaches Nathan how to golf. David ends up purchasing a much younger A.I. girlfriend. David designs the digital A.I. girlfriend to look like his ex-wife however the A.I. girlfriend knows exactly how to feed David’s ego.
