Season 6ofThe Walking Deadis winding down, with just four episodes remaining. We’re getting closer and closer to the debut of the long-awaited characterNegan, played byJeffrey Dean Morgan. While we’ll have to wait until the Season 6 finale to see Negan in the flesh, we may see some more of his Saviors soon, as teased in a new preview and clip from next week’s episode,Not Tomorrow Yet, airing Sunday, March 6 at 9 PM ET on AMC. If that wasn’t enough, we also have two new photos from the episode, along with more photos from last night’sKnots Untied. There will be spoilers below if you didn’t watch last night’s episode, so read on at your risk.
Last night’s episodeKnots Untiedintroduced fans to theHilltop Colony, and their leader Gregory (Xander Berkeley), and we also learned more about the nefarious Negan. Jesus (Tom Payne) explains that Negan and his Saviors simply showed up at Hilltop one day, making demands and threats to the group, before savagely beating a 16-year-old kid to death, to help them “understand.” The Hilltop group struck a deal with the Saviors, giving them half of everything they have. We also learned that their latest offering to theSaviorswasn’t enough.

The Saviors killed several of the Hilltop members, and took a few more hostage, before sending a few back to the Colony with a message for the rest. These new previews tease that Rick and the Alexandrians must go out in search of the Saviors before they find Alexandria and tear their home apart. It’s worth noting that this appears to be the first episode in quite some time where Rick and his crew are all together under the same roof, but we’ll have to wait and see if they will remain united throughout the rest of this season. As we get closer to the finale, many fans are wonder how closely the show will stick to an iconic comic book moment.
Negan was introduced in the 100th issue ofRobert Kirkman’scomic books, where he took the Alexandrians by surprise, before choosing a random person to kill, Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun). It isn’t known yet if theSeason 6finale will beSteven Yeun’s last episode, but the introduction of Negan will certainly give the show a new dynamic. In the comics, Negan uses his group The Saviors to intimidate other communities such as the Hilltop Colony and The Kingdom into paying tribute to them, in exchange for The Saviors providing protection from the zombies. Negan’s favorite weapon is a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, which he has dubbed Lucille, which is what he killsGlennwith in the comics.

In addition to the new previews for next week’s episode, we also have new photos from bothNot Tomorrow Yetand last night’sKnots Untied, along with the most talked about scene from No Way Out.
