Earlier this week, an image surfaced that reportedly features our first look atTom HollandasSpider-Man, which will be featured as a part of Disney’s D23 Convention this weekend in Anaheim. The authenticity of this photo has yet to be verified, and we’ll find out soon enough when the convention gets started. Until then,Tom Hollandhimself has posted two videos that don’t feature the actor in hisSpider-Mansuit, but do display some of the skills he very well may be using in the Spider-Man reboot.
Holland posted these videos to hisInstagrampage, which were taken on his family vacation. The first video showcases his impressive rock-climbing skills, which will surely come in handy asPeter Parker. The second features the actor pulling off a huge leap into water. The young actor only has a handful of film and TV credits to his name, and, impressive as they may be (The Impossible,How I Live Now, Wolf Hall), they aren’t very action-heavy. For those who may be doubting young Tom’s skills, these videos surely prove them wrong.
Tom Hollandhas already filmed Spider-Man’scameo appearanceinCaptain America: Civil War, and, if the report from this week is true, the fans at D23 will be the first to get a look at this footage. Whether or not it comes online soon thereafter, either through an online leak or an official release, remains to be seen. Sony and Marvel have already issued a August 02, 2025 release date, but it isn’t known when production will begin, although it will likely take place either late this year or early in 2016.
Marisa Tomeiis in talks to portray Aunt May, but no other cast members or characters have been confirmed. A report surfaced last week that Kraven the Hunter will be the villain in the new Spider-Man, while an earlier report claimed that the studios wantMatthew McConaugheyto play Norman Osborn, a.k.a.Green Goblin. Whoever the villain may be, we most likely won’t find out for quite some time.
